Equity in advising doesn’t mean being everything to everyone.
It means structuring the work so that clarity, not chaos, drives growth, and so that support without extraction is accessible.
How I Build Equity Into My Advising:
I anchor in clarity, not performance.
No inflated hours. No jargon-filled sessions. I bring real-time reflection, grounded strategy, catered tools you can use, and knowledge sharing. I make it a point to not create dependencies, if we work together over time it’s only when you actually need it. My retention cycles are very different from most. Happy to share more on that if anybody is curious!
I share knowledge through flexible frameworks.
It’s worth saying again: you won’t have to depend on me long-term. I give you frameworks and tools that make sense for your business so you can apply them consistently over time. That’s how sustainable leadership is built. And that’s what allows you to manage growth and scale in a way that leads to the future you envision.
I don't overpromise transformation.
Advising is not magic. It’s support while you work. There are no easy answers. And we all know that ultimately, shortcuts do not lead to sustained outcomes. When advising, I will help you find your path and surface the questions you didn’t know to ask yet. I’ll help you identify your options and explore what each means for your business. And I bring a fresh perspective whose only stake in the game is you, thriving. And we will keep track of our progress as we work to ensure that blind habit doesn’t sneak in.
I bring strategic insight to early-stage founders.
Some of the most critical strategic decisions happen early, when all too many founders can’t yet access real advising at.
This is why I set my hourly rate at the low end of Fair Market Value given my breadth, depth, and length of experience.
And it’s why I offer a reduced-rate for clients who meet specific criteria.I believe that equity is embedded in structure and it’s only happening if it’s happening consistently. I believe this model reflects both capacity and context, and I am always open to feedback on this! We all have blindspots, I care about revealing mine as I continue to grow.
Equitable advising means building business models that reflect what we say we believe.
It means trusting my clients’ timing, honoring their reality, and offering strategy that strengthens their capacity to lead.
