STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP

Across Business Types

With over two decades of leadership experience, I’ve worked at the intersection of business strategy, creativity, and operations—inside global brands, founder-led startups, marketing and creative agencies, and locally rooted companies. From serving on boards and leadership teams to acting as a trusted advisor to founders and executives, I bring strategic momentum to move through every stage of business growth.

PSYCHOLOGY & CHANGE MANAGEMENT

A Behavioral Lens

My career spans sectors, company sizes, and organizational structures, giving me a unique combination of breadth and depth. That range allows me to assess business needs quickly, identify key levers, and guide both teams and individuals through meaningful change. Grounded in psychology and behavioral science, my work is shaped by how people actually think, decide, and lead.

CUSTOM FRAMEWORKS

Designed To Fit You

At the center of everything I do is systems design. I care deeply about creating human-centered frameworks and diagnostics that support clarity, momentum, and sustainable results. Informed by best practices across disciplines and flexible by design, I tailor to each client’s business model, values, and goals to ensure every solution is context-specific and experience-backed.

WHAT IT'S LIKE

To Work Together

When we work together, I’ll meet you where you are, take the time to deeply understand your business, clarify what’s possible, and help you move forward with confidence, intention, and a strategy that’s built to last.

The Journey

01

Psychology

ATTACHMENT  |   BEHAVIOR  |  NEUROLOGY  |  LEADERSHIP  |  LIVED EXPERIENCE

My background in psychology spans academia, research, clinical practice, crisis response, and operations.

These experiences shape how I understand people, systems, and change. It’s the foundation of how I listen, notice patterns, and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. It's also shaped my human-first approach.

This training gives me a solid understanding of human behavior and neuroscience. How we find motivation, experience resistance, navigate stress responses, make meaning, and communicate all shape the workplace. The ways people adapt when things feel uncertain or overloaded must be part of business IMO.

This area of study taught me to work with complexity instead of trying to simplify it away.

In practice, this means clients feel seen without being pathologized. We can talk honestly about what’s working, what’s strained, and what’s getting avoided - while staying with the wise mind (I do not provide therapy and I will redirect us if conversation begins to veer in that direction).

This lens helps ensure the strategies we build are usable by real humans, not just theoretically sound.

Outside of my work, I'm currently looking at how intersection of behavior, cognition, and agency are being integrated (or not) in Large Language Models (the brain behind the AI's you can talk to).

02

Film Production

PRODUCER  |  MAKEUP-ARTIST  |  ART DIRECTOR

My background in film production spans indie and studio work across live action, motion graphics & animation, commercial, editorial, and emerging digital media.

Working in film production taught me how complex systems move under pressure. Tight timelines, limited resources, and many stakeholders all needing to stay aligned in order for anything to work.

I learned how to translate vision into execution, coordinate across roles, and make decisions quickly without losing sight of the larger goal. When something breaks, you don’t panic... you adapt.

Today, this shows up in how I help leaders move ideas into action. We focus on sequencing, clarity, and momentum, not just big-picture thinking.

This experience keeps my work grounded in reality: what can actually be done, by whom, and in what order.

While I'm no longer working  in this industry, I love staying connected. I recommend you follow and watch Yellow Balloon recently released from SUM SUM. And this doc made by a talented team including the director who I got to study under, years ago. And please go see something at the Tomorrow Theater when in pdx!

03

Advertising

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER  |  STRATEGIST  |   CREATIVE

My background in advertising spans brand, creative, and strategy across agencies, clients, and production environments.

Advertising trained me to understand attention, messaging, and perception — not as manipulation, but as communication under constraint.

I learned how to clarify what matters, cut through noise, and express complex ideas simply without losing integrity. Just as importantly, I learned how easily messaging can drift when it’s disconnected from truth.

With clients, this translates into language that feels accurate and usable. We can get away from chasing trends and generic tactics, because articulating what’s real and letting that guide builds a lasting foundation.

This is why my work tends to reduce effort rather than add more. When the message is clear, everything downstream gets easier.

While I no longer work inside traditional advertising, the discipline stays with me. Clarity, restraint, and respect for the audience still shape how I think and work. Just in service of things I actually believe in.

04

Marketing

LEADERSHIP  |  STRATEGY  |  CONTENT PRODUCTION  |  CRISIS COMMS  |  PR

My background in marketing spans leadership, strategy, content production, and crisis communications across growing and changing organizations of all sizes.

Marketing taught me how strategies behave once they leave the room. How plans meet reality. How capacity, timing, and context matter as much as intent. And how to balance building a brand with integrity that also performs well.

I learned how growth actually happens - slowly, unevenly, and often in ways that don’t match the original plan. This gave me a strong respect for iteration and restraint.

In my work now, this shows up as practical guidance. We articulate brands and design strategies that fit the business as it is, and support sustainable growth and longevity.

This keeps clients from overbuilding, overcommitting, and burning energy on things that don’t move the needle.

I still stay close to this work, especially where clarity and timing matter most, because how something is introduced often determines how it’s received and sustained.

05

Systems & Strategy

CONSULTANT  |  EXECUTIVE  |  BOARD MEMBER  |  SYSTEMS DESIGNER  |  ADVISOR

My work in systems and strategy brings these threads together into a single, integrated practice. It’s where psychology, execution, communication, and growth intersect.

I've learned how organizations behave as living systems... how decisions ripple, how structures create pressure, and how misalignment quietly compounds over time. This is the layer where I help clients slow down just enough to see what’s actually happening, then redesign with intention.

The result is clarity that lasts beyond our work together because the system makes sense given the realistic factors and needs.

Beyond designing durable systems, this work builds shared capacity. I help leaders develop the judgment and skills to navigate complexity well beyond our time together.

Aerospace CFO & IT Consultant

Jamie is able to articulate the areas where processes aren't working and/or where inconsistent or problematic communication is causing business to stumble. Because of Jamie's support, we have been able to pivot despite a couple of serious challenges.

—Matt T.

CPG Founder & COO

What Jamie taught me to build completely shifted how everything fit together. We were stalled, and then her custom frameworks, thought process, and the way the work was structured all created a totally different way of thinking.

It felt like a new language, and once we were in it, everything came together: the vision, the strategy, and our daily work. The momentum was measurable, and it really reduced pressure across the team.

—Corinne C.

Creative Agency Founder & CEO

Before working with Jamie, we were overwhelmed and our work had fully stalled.

Her advising and a couple consulting projects gave us a shared language and structure for making decisions that actually fit our business. Instead of reacting, we became grounded and confident. That is what really got things moving.

What surprised me most was how motivating it was. When the overwhelm lifted, I found that I had a real curiosity for deeper learning. I'm so thrilled to say that this has fundamentally changed how I lead.
